Dear Pak Andi,
my name is Jakob Lederer, I am a student from Vienna University of Technology, Austria. Actually I am writing my master thesis in Banda Aceh, together with some friends from Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh. Our topic is Municipal Solid Waste Management.
Now, we need some information about household income distribution in the town of Banda Aceh.
Do you have an idea where we could get this information from?
Sorry I’m very late to answer your question because your comment identified as spam in wordpress.
Income distribution data is very difficult to find in Indonesia. Usually I used Sakernas (National Workforce Survey) Data from BPS, but the income just for employee. You can not use Sakernas for district/sub-district analysis because sample of sakernas is small for that levels.
I thinks, it’s better uses Expenditure to approximated the income or household welfare. So you can used Susenas (National Socio-Economics Survey) conducted by BPS too. You can use it for district and sub-district analysis. You can use Susenas 2004, 2003 and 2002, but for 2002 just for Banda Aceh. I’m not sure with latest susenas (2006) because I don’t have it.
lum,
tar kl dah jadi aku launch
abis kl dah di rumah males ndi, udah capek
ini karena di ktr bulan2 ini load nya lagi menurun jadi lumayanlah masuk2 ke blog orang2
It is nice to see your blog. In past years, I performed a poverty research under supervision of one local NGO in Jakarta whose specialization in poverty research and social net program. The title of my research was “A dynamic and web-based poverty map of Indonesia using a small-area aggregation method”. I was mainly working in the technological sides where I utilized several GIS softwares to develop a dynamic poverty maps.
I just recently having opportunity to refine my past research and I would like to develop poverty maps of Indonesia using spatial regression model. This method considers spatial dependencies that may exist in the data. Such spatial analysis is important because regression models that exclude explicit specification of spatial effects, when they exist, can lead to inaccurate inferences about predictor variables.
If you don’t mind to inform me how to get more recent and updated statistical data, namely PODES, SUSENAS and Census data. Those data would be used for my further research. If it is possible to meet you in person or contact you, so we can discuss further about this matters.

Sorry I was late to respond your comment. Actually if you want to get some data like as POdes, SUSENAS or Cencus Data, than you must contact to Statistical Desemination in BPS (Central Statistics of Indonesia). All national statistics you can get there!
